Halo did not manufacture this option, but instead made forced agreed replacement.
I also extra ordered and paid stainless steel frets. However, the guitar lead time from the originally promised one year increased to two years, after each payment (50% deposit and remaining balance 10 months later) communication from Halo only got worse, the guitar came to me in a custom fitted Halo hardshell case with completely damaged interior due to polyfoam that was not fully glued and broken in four places (for all that the outer packaging and the exterior of the case were in perfect condition and do not even have cosmetic damages), also the guitar body contour (profile of the body surface), string gauges adjustment and t-short size did not match what was ordered. Halo Custom Guitars has created a Real Miracle – a unique fully one-piece guitar (its body, neck, fingerboard and headstock carved from single solid maple blank). I would have given 4.5 stars if I could, because it is incredible, high quality, and certainly deserves more than four stars, but for nearly $5k, it should be flawless and mind-blowing quality. I also expected a more noticeable and less subtle ‘carved top’ (as this one looks very good but is nearly flat). The top is absolutely beautiful, but for the price point, perhaps have an even higher grade top wood would make sense. I was a bit surprised to find that the cavity cover for the floyd rose isn’t inset and doesn’t sit flush with the body of the guitar (and was also left unpainted), and so the back of the guitar isn’t as comfortable or aesthetic as it could be, but is otherwise phenomenal and quite beautiful.
Also, though lead times were large, the guitar came in earlier than expected. I love the custom body shape and striking finish look amazing, the neck-through constriction is smooth, and the BKP Juggernauts sound perfect. Inlays, fretwork, and electronics all seem to be done excellently. The materials and quality of the work are great. Absolutely LOVING this guitar! It looks incredible and plays beautifully! All customization came exactly as I designed.
